This sounds cold.

A recording made, midday, on thursday december 8 2022 of a light, but very cold rain hitting the bare trees and the wet, brown leaves on the ground in a midwestern usa forest. Towards the end you'll be treated to a group of blue jays making a huge racket!other than that, no animal sounds at all. Just the slow, steady tip tip tap smack of raindrops falling from a cold-steel and gray sky. Recording made with sound devices mixpre-3 series ii, in 32 bit float mode. An alternative "riser" with a strong suspenseful atmos and cold metallic tones. Originally edited from a stretched and filtered sound of a bed frame being hit. I imagine, however macabre, the lasting shot of a character demise or a shocking sound cue for particularly transgressive notions.

A wind sound created with a white noise generator and a low pass filter on my console. I played with the cutoff frequency and a few eq peaks to vary the sound. Recorded at 44. 1k 16bit in stereo.

Just having some fun with the 6 inches of snow that we received. The first part of this is me walking/breaking some ice that had formed in a low area and then me walking on snow, which has a frosty glaze on top of it. Recorded with the handy/zoom h-4n recorder using its built-in microphones. The built-in microphones can be adjusted to pick up sound from 90 degrees around the microphones to 180 degrees. For this recording, i had them on 180 degrees. *note, you will also -- if you listen carefully -- hear a male robin singing in a tree. Pretty unique combination - the snow and ice being crunched with the typical sound of spring in background. He must have been one tough bird!.

Basically i recorded a fidget spinner spinning into my windshield of my condenser microphone, it made a cool low end sound. I made some post processing at the end just to make it sound more cohesive. The sound is tuned to g but the pitch slightly bends.
